Via FOI we'd found out that people who committed childhood offences (under age 18) have to declare them in DBS checks decades later - a 70 year old had to declare obstructing a constable as a teenager & a 67 year old to disclose shoplifting committed before 1973 www.thetimes.com/article/291a...

Funny how European scholars keep using “risk profiles” instead of “control profiles” to refer to group-based profiling of people. ‘Risk’ both sanitises and legitimises the deeply political, dehumanising, and subjugating logics (and legacies) of racialised group-based profiling.
