Progressivism based on principles.
The affordability crisis is caused by excessively available financing.

Financing allows the demand for something to rise independently from wages.

The purchases which are the most dominated by financing, have seen the greatest rises in price vs median income.

Let me get this straight...

You don't trust the government with your tax money...

You don't trust them to administer welfare or healthcare...

But you trust them with the power to execute their own citizens?

You want to require ID to vote?

Fine, but then the accepted forms of ID must be free to obtain or it's a poll tax and you're violating the 24th amendment.

A true American patriot who reveres the foundational principles of liberty enshrined in the constitution should become nauseated by the mere appearance of an executive branch that moves to punish dissent, disrespect, or disloyalty to itself.

Did anyone ever consider that perhaps congress should hold the authority to institute tariffs and not the president?

This could be a winning issue in future congressional elections.

Most corporate oligarchs would support that agenda like their lives depended on it.

"Due process" means that the government must take fair and objective efforts to find if someone is guilty, and give them a chance to defend themselves before you punish them on mere suspicion.

If you don't understand why that's vitally important...
Let's begin by teaching you how to tie your shoes.

If this doesn't scare the absolute shit out of you, you haven't thought it through...

A totalitarian regime that can monitor every single person for ideological views using AI...

Imagine if Hitler had that capability.

Here's a list of the ACTUAL tariff rates other countriea have charged the US vs what Trump claimed.
April 3, 2025 at 10:07 PM
The only reason markets aren't down more than 15% right now is that some investors are still clinging to hope that Trump will reverse course on these tariffs before they are implemented.

If he doesn't, the market has a long way to drop ahead.

Senator Cory Booker is filibustering the Senate. Looks like he will attempt to break the record.
Support this. If you are able, open this live coverage up on as many screens as you can and leave it up.

If there's one thing signal gate has revealed, it's that Republicans are hilariously incapable of holding themselves accountable for their own mistakes.

These ham-fisted, self-righteous toddlers can argue with a steel ball, But they can't be our leaders anymore.

Jasmine Crockett just figured out how to troll the right Trump-style.

She's plastered allllll over Twitter and the media right now.

She's never been more relevant in her life because she called Abbott hot wheels...

Why didn't I think of it?

You need to understand that most social media is owned by the largest and wealthiest corporations on earth and they manipulate the algorithms to boost content favorable to them.

What to do about it?

Avoid X like the plague and flood this platform with content.

Pete Hegseth is such a woefully incompetent jackass and threat to national security that every senator who voted for his confirmation ought to be impeached.

Both sides of the aisle believe in disregard for the law when the law is unjust, but the far right thinks that basically any social cooperation is coercive, they will ultimately reject any social contract as injustice.
