I had a blast talking with @drscottataylor.bsky.social on the most recent episode of Okay, but...birds. Tune in for my hot take on why Hudsonian Godwits are far superior to Arctic Terns as migratory birds! (I welcome any & all angry comments from tern supporters 😉)

"I don’t know why my fellowship was terminated. I suspect that it has something to do with studying a species that doesn’t fit the binary of what we expect to see in nature, with completely different males and females."

Highly recommend. It really is a life changing experience. Amazing people and talent and so much care with your creative ideas. All of that in an inspirational place where you can snorkel in kelp 🐙
Each summer, I lead a week-long creative retreat for environmental researchers & academics on Catalina Island. We develop your most ambitious project ideas. It's truly life-changing.

We wrote a paper about how it might be mimicking toxic caterpillars!
