Doesn’t over-emphasise phonics (or any other ‘system’).

I got sent this. My ‘Oops!Helping Children Learn Accidentally’ book on display at a school. It’s wonderful to see the book having an impact and being used still. I loved writing the book and it gives me joy to share it here. It’s a good one for pedagogical refreshment and #oracy.

I had fun introducing AAC apps on a student visit. He likes to watch a specific video at snack time. As he watched, I narrated with one iPad while having another available for him to explore. He engaged fleetingly and occasionally glanced at my modelling.
