Thank you God for this man. His humility, life of simplicity & service to people in poverty were beautiful to see. And his encyclical Laudato Si' was groundbreaking - reminding us that we share a common home with all creation & calling us to an 'integral ecology'

Gosh, what a beautiful and powerful #GoodFriday reflection on Radio 4. I feel really privileged to have been involved. Do take 30 minutes to sit and listen - you won't regret it.

Well done to everyone for an excellent weekend, with a fab and well-attended community eco-fair, good evening event & then I spoke at Hope Baptist Church Sunday morning . Putting on something like this takes a lot of work & commitment and it's a privilege to be able to support it.

The tadpoles are hatching, yay!! I've been watching the frogspawn every day, covering them over at night when it was cold last week and was starting to worry they’d all died like they did last year…. but I can just see some movement and a few tiny black things in the water. Hooray! #proudmum 🤣

This is a terrible move by Israel. Please pray for the ceasefire negotiations that this gets resolved quickly and goods and aid can start getting back into Gaza where it's so desperately needed.

If you think increased defence spending shouldn't come from the international aid budget, please do something very simple - send your MP a quick email letting them know. You don't need to write something long and clever - just let them know what you think!

During the Pax Romana - the period of time between 27BC and 189AD, literally called 'Peace of Rome', when Rome was growing its empire through military conquest - the Caledonian chieftain Calgacus bitterly remarked that the Romans, “create a desolation and call it peace.”
Does that sound familiar?

Following on from a few days ago, I'd love to know how you think of a 'soul'. What do you think a soul even is? What's your understanding? Thanks - I love all your comments and wisdom and thoughts x

As AI dominates the news I learn just how wrong it can be. I do a search for what version of Isaiah 61 Jesus used when he read from the scroll in the synagogue in Lk 4. Do u know what the 'AI Overview' tells me?
"When Jesus read from Isaiah 61 in Luke 4 he was using the New International Version" 🤣🤣

The #HolocaustMemorialDay commemoration is deeply moving and I remember today my own family who were victims. Let us never forget that it all started with othering and everyday hate. Let us do all we can to resist that in our own lives and call it out when we see it around us.

This might sound an odd question but I'm going to be contributing to a podcast on 'animals and souls' and I'm interested to know: have you had an experience of a pet after they have died, or indeed any particular experience of a pet while they were alive that has stood out to you? Thank you x
