Today, the Trump Administration and Governor Youngkin announced plans to relocate HUD into NSF's HQ building in Alexandria.

NSF thrives in and because Northern Virginia is a robust science and technology hub. Our community remains the ideal location for its headquarters.

NEW: NSF will be kicked out of their building. Announcement will be made tomorrow by HUD Sec. and Governor of VA. HUD will take over the NSF building over the next two years.

NSF staffer: "There is no planning for NSF, no identified future location, appropriation for a new building or a move."

Very excited to share that another few chapters of my dissertation are now published under open access! What lurks below the deep sediments of the Indo-Burman forearc margin?

Evolving Sediment Structure and Lithospheric Architecture Across the Indo‐Burman Forearc Margin From the Joint Inversion of Surface‐ and Scattered‐Wave Seismic Constraints
Phase velocities across the Indo-Burman forearc are markedly slow at short periods and reveal a seismic transition that reflects evolving down-dip sediment structure A shallow seismic discontinui...

I’m not going to retweet that NOAA propaganda post about deep sea mining.

Instead, I’ll tell you that I don’t know a single NOAA scientist who would promote deep sea mining in this way, because the available science we have does not justify exploitation of deep sea habitats for minerals.

Here is our government, just quietly disappearing things that scientists and the public use.

Be loud about it.

This is extraordinarily disturbing and borderline Orwellian. It must stop, or we wind up in a very, very scary place.
