❌ Years of criticism
❌ No support = low self-esteem, guilt and shame

The time for disability justice, as it always has been, is now.

Disability justice underlines and ties together all anti-oppression movements. If you want to learn more about #DisabilityJustice and how you can support disabled communities, any of these 18 books would be a good place to start!

That's the exact issue, that slight misalignment between language and the conditions they're alluding to which further obscures and stigmatises (actually) autistic people or those with OCD.

Some will take it as a definition of autistic behaviour and others will be harmed by the allusion.
Johnson saying he can be "a bit spectrum-y" because he doesn't understand other people have feelings is like people who say they're "a bit OCD" because they like things tidy. Get to fuck.

#PPI & #coproduction people - any good papers, blogs etc on sharing power & power imbalances in practice?
I have used those resources - but thanks. I am interested in understanding what 'sharing power' (when there are inevitable 'power' imbalances - e.g involving people experiencing cognitive impairment/dementia) actually means in practice. Anyone really unpacked this?..
