Let's be clear: Immigrants are the Jews of Trump's plan for American fascism. This is where we must fight him at every turn. Everything else, including the mid-terms, is a distraction from the true nature of the threat. #AmericanFascism

Just in case anyone missed Trump’s Truth Social post, the White House has now sent it out on X, with an illustration making the message absolutely clear. Trump has, in effect, established a monarchy, an American counter-revolution.

I didn’t realize the scope of this man’s power. He is now in charge of 20% of the Federal budget. And Hegseth is overseeing another 15%. That’s 1/3’of Federal spending in the hands of these two men.

Trump said “no” so quickly, not because he doesn’t support Vance, but rather because he doesn’t believe he will have a successor. He expects to remain President himself.
Baier: Do you view JD Vance as your successor?

Not paying workers for work done has always been part of Trump’s brand. Why are we “shocked” that he is doing this to those working “for him” today? The only question is why aren’t the workers organizing? Where are the picket lines? Where are the mass street protests? eu.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Trump’s strategy, lifted from the authoritarian playbook, is to terrorize first, then offer targeted relief. Psychoanalysts understand the aim: to induce confusion and fearful dependency, and, then grateful support when the target turns out to be someone else.

This is likely true and perhaps even more frightening than the idea that Trump is Putin’s puppet. Trump is now in the stronger position. What will he do with it?
Having worked as a diplomat in Moscow in Soviet times & knowing how Trump behaves, I am convinced that the FSB has a sex tape with Trump, but does it matter any longer? Trump has won & his reputation is awful in any case.
