@neildegrassetyson.com I spotted these bubbles in a used bubble bath bottle and it got me thinking, is it possible that the universal filaments that contain galaxies are the film surface of larger entities, with whatever dark energy is being the stuff that fills the bubbles?

But as their light has taken billions of years to reach us, could it not be that the expansion is slowing, which is why the closest objects are slower?
