I’d name my car after Harvey Milk, but that doesn’t really change anything. Also, it’s a stupid idea to do ice raids outside immigration court. Don’t we want people following the official channels? Also, the killing of Jonathan Joss seems so obviously a hate crime.

Putin is not an ally. Can we make sure we don’t vote for people who talk or act like he is? Can we make sure our reps know what we think about this? This feels like something we can all agree on.

I vividly remember a family member getting so offended when Michelle Obama said America was a mean country. America is a mean country—a sick country. Those who want to heal it are the patriots, not those with blind allegiance.

Star Trek did so much to imagine a better future—a future that still has problems, but a future where people’s needs were understood to matter. I want more creative imaginings of a good future for humanity on screen. Fear retreats. Desire advances.
