Please understand what a horrific miscarriage of justice this is. One day, our children and grandchildren will study this time and view this practice with horror and disbelief. Make no mistake: future generations will judge all of us for what we do in this moment. Silence is not an option

This is an excellent explainer. Read it to prepare yourself to watch and oppose the looming disaster.
I wrote today about why we should shudder about ICE and CBP adding 19,000 new agents and officers — because we should terrified of WHO would want to join CBP and ICE amid politicized authoritarian images like this: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/four-fears...

Medicaid cutsnwont ONLY affect those on Medicaid
I do not meet Medicaid requirements, but my healthcare premiums became affordable when Missouri expanded Medicaid.

Medicaid cuts will impact my insurance. It will impact my rural hospital. It will impact my life.

It’s all connected.

Did you know that the first work requirements in the United States EXPLICITLY only applied to Black women? They were instituted during WW1 because women of all races whose husbands were deployed received war allowances.

Gender-affirming care isn't just for trans and gender non-conforming people

Gender-affirming care is being addressed by your correct name

It's being offered the appropriate screenings

It's being sensitive about your comfort in your body and your modesty

It isn't something radical or specialized

Highly recommend "On Tyrrany" if you haven't read it already
"On Tyranny" is a #1 NYT bestseller again. I wish the moment were different. But I’m glad the book is useful. And grateful for all the kind words about putting the 20 lessons to work.

Some good news - the CDC released an HIV Surveillance Supplemental Report with data for 2023.

Unfortunately, there is no data presented on HIV incidence and PrEP coverage because...of RIF.

This diminishes our situational awareness re: where we are nationally in our work to end the HIV epidemic.
