Keeping in mind the character of this administration, I wonder how much Manila values reassurances of U.S. commitment to the region.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth used his first trip to Asia to try to reassure allies that the U.S. was committed to deterring Chinese "threats" to the region, while also defending his recent actions in disclosing American battle plans in a group chat.
