I wonder how often we assume tutor’s know (e.g., from their own education) or do the prep to teach? That is, how often is unpaid work relied on in Higher Ed?
Mills says tutors are implicitly expected to read the readings. Justice Snaden says this might be what a good tutor would do, but asks if there is anything beyond an implicit expectation? No, she says.
