Grateful for the opportunity to talk about the Murrow local news ecosystem report and my Carnegie Fellowship in-studio at Komo 4 this morning. Morning News Co-anchor Holly Menino was kind and apologized she couldn’t give me a tour afterward because she needed to go interview William Shatner (!).

Glad to see this story by Northwest Public Broadcasting about our project mapping the local news ecosystem in Washington state. Local news is essential to civic engagement and democracy and needs continued (and more!) support from citizens, organizations, and civic leaders for it to flourish.
