Shutting down, USAID would be a mistake. In both Latin America and Afghanistan, when I commanded tens of thousands of US and coalition troops, they did superb work that helped create real security for the United States. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/01/u...

Stating the obvious: tariffs are a regressive tax on the poorest Americans.
A company pays the tariff, and raises their prices to get that money. That price is paid by the consumer.
