What a lovely evening celebrating the launch of @ksandsoconnor.bsky.social and @darrenchetty.bsky.social's "Beyond the Secret Garden: Racially Minoritised People in British Children's Books". It was great to see friends and be in a room with people who care about such vital work!

I want to dedicate my first post on this app to celebrating @michaelrosenyes.bsky.social on the inaugural Michael Rosen Day. Michael has had such an impact on me as a reader, an educator, and most recently a colleague. There's no better day than one that celebrates children's books.
