I interrupt your doom scrolling to rave about yesterday's (19 May 2025) acrostic puzzle in the New York Times magazine. At least half of the clues or answers were directly related to the theme, a dose of nostalgia for "progressive rock" fans from the mid-late 1970s. Wish I could share it.

What's really disturbing is that 4 justices are willing to ignore the constitution giving congress the responsibility to determine government spending. This was money already appropriated and spent, and treasury's only job is to pay the bills.

I think it is important to remember that probationary employees aren’t just people who have worked for the government for less than a year. Many of them have worked for the government for decades, but are made probationary (again) when promoted to a new position, for example.

I think it is important to remember that probationary employees aren’t just people who have worked for the government for less than a year. Many of them have worked for the government for decades, but are made probationary (again) when promoted to a new position, for example.
