The current administration knows they can’t legally dismantle the Department of Education so instead they are firing half the workforce thereby defunding education that will impact K-12, higher education, and educational research. This poor country will never be great.

My sister sent me a few books she thought I’d enjoy. She received a message saying the books were lost, so she sent them to me again. I received the original box and sent her a thank you with which book would be my next read. She laughed at having sent me two boxes. I say that’s love ❤️

Given everything that is happening, this is a ridiculous pet peeve, but it drives me crazy when news outlets say that someone “breaks silence” about something when it’s only been like 27 hours.

I taught in Denver right after Columbine. School was a practice site for the local SWAT team. I will never forget the terror invoked by our first lockdown. SWAT team was shouting, trying to knock in our doors. Kids crying. How do we allow this to continue?
I hate lockdown drills. I never want to normalize this practice. I remember the days this was not necessary. So tragic that this has to happen now. #EduSky

We’ve entered the weekly NFL pool at our local sushi place every week this season and have been close to winning most weeks. Well, we finally won this week! Yay! Also, we were apparently the only ones that entered so we got our entry fee back and a round of drinks from the bartenders 😂
