Wes, it's not rocket science just don't pay a doctor £17.60 an hour when they are in £100k worth of student debt.

If you a member of the public that thinks that's acceptable go ring a plumber and offer them double that an hour and see if you get your leak fixed.

Good news from the EAT yesterday. I now have 3 separate appeals (10 grounds in total) ordered for a main appeal hearing. The latest is wasted costs against the NHS law firm Hill Dickinson. Here is the update on how they argued doctors out of whistleblowing protection

Extremely significant decision. Ever get the feeling doctors are under attack at the moment

We seem to have more and more duties and less and less rights

Dr Suresh deserved better; his family deserve better from the medical regulator and now the courts

The position on the GMC’s duty of care is now unquestionably clear. We look at the value of legal representation to assist doctors with the stress and anxiety associated with investigations.

So this is my "I am a doctor we need to change UK whistleblowing law speech" that I shared in Parliament a couple of months ago

After 10 years of whistleblowing litigation, I think it is fair to say that I have a few examples of where things go wrong and the cost to the public

You will have more chance seeing a GP if you call an Uber than a GP Practice

Only a UK Government could allow this to happen;

Experts told Sky News that a lack of core funding for GP practices means there is not enough money to recruit - at a time when demand for appointments has reached an all-time high.

For decades, the NHS has been allowed to ignore, discredit and then fight anyone of its staff or leaders that tells it something it doesn’t want to hear.

A whole service industry as built up to help the NHS with this.

Help me challenge it

The Gov’ts response to this important question from Adrian Ramsay MP was due 3 days ago. It’s a simple “YES” or “NO”

Is the gov’t using taxpayers money to pay GMC’s legal costs in defending an action brought by @anaesunited.bsky.social to protect patient safety in the regulation of PA’s & AA’s?
A hugely important question raised by Adrian Ramsay MP in the #physicianassociate scandal👏

Are the GMC’s legal costs in defending the legal action brought by Anaesthetists United being paid by the DHSC? A response was due from the government yesterday
