So Musk says DOGE will only save $150bln, which means more like $20bln really, and the tariffs will cost low and middle class how many trillions, all so Trump can give the 1% a $4.5 trillion tax cut? Eventually, his supporters will catch on, right?

Not cheering for doom but absolutely no reason for the market to bounce. If anything, it should decline further on the China vs Trump ego battle over who can do the biggest tariff. Also a reminder that the market is just a game and yesterday's fake bounce on a rumor was just more proof of that.

So add tariffs that are effectively a 10-20% tax of on the lower and middle class and then use the proceeds to justify a $4.5trln tax cut for just the wealthy? Did I get that right? At some point the cult of Trump is going to crack and collapse, right? RIGHT?

What I read: In two years, the house and senate will shift enough to impeach and remove Trump from office. Zero chance this moronic crap makes it to June. House and Senate will act and it will drive a wedge between GOP congress and Trump with him blaming them for all that goes wrong.

Reminder that Trump has always been bad at business. He is also too lazy to go to meetings and too arrogant to listen to experts. This term the only criteria to be his advisor is that you just say YES, no matter what. This is the result, massive amounts of chaos around the world for no benefit.

So Trump just announced that Elon will be stepping down in the next few weeks. I had start of May for him to implode on my bingo card but I'll take start of April instead. Seriously though, someone needs to have an intervention with Musk and get him some real help. Not joking, he needs mental help.

Trump is currently at war against the judicial branch of government and why wouldn't he be since the highest court in the land said he is completely immune to any consequences? It still stuns me that conservatives were so short-sighted and tribal that they couldn't see the long-term effects of it.

Remember when Trump promised to only be a dictator on day 1? Just another broken campaign promise. Today's dictator watch is him ignoring the judicial branch which his unelected crony pushes to impeach judges. Also, he just declared by edict that all Biden pardons were null and void. Long 4 years.

The past month has been a reminder that Trump only appeared slightly competent in his first term because he had semi-qualified people around him. Now he is surrounded with incompetent loyalist who just say "YES SIR!" and it shows. This is on the GOP for rubber stamping them all, no matter how bad.

Another week, another 3-4 point drop in the polls for Trump. Sadly, we're stuck with this horrible president for another 3.9 years despite his having lied his way into office. Fortunately, his loyalists in congress are only loyal as they think it will benefit them, which isn't much longer.

What is the Vegas over/under line for how long before Trump throws Musk under the bus and dismantles DOGE? 6 weeks? 2 months? We know it is going to happen when even his tribal supporters catch on and numbers are cratering. Not like Trump will take responsibility for anything that goes wrong.

6 weeks in and GDP down, unemployment up, uncertainty up, consumer confidence down, stock market down, standing in the world down, inflation up, ability of the government to function down but actual waste in the government up (employees are 4% of cost and manage the other 96%), did I get that right?
