I think a lot of folks won’t see the full humanity of Palestinians for the same reason they won’t recognize Palestine as a state: doing so would mean accepting moral and legal responsibilities they’d rather deny.

As a healthcare provider in Regent Park, I joined the community yesterday in mourning and rage as the supervised consumption site Bevel Up had its last day of service. It’s truly hard to express the cruelty this represents for people who use drugs. /1 #onpoli #medsky #topoli #cdnpoli

Wild how folks are “too much” when they speak up, “not a priority” when they ask for change — but suddenly “crucial” when it’s time to vote. Can’t treat people like a problem and expect them to solve yours.

As we move through the last 10 nights of Ramadan, I’m thinking of those fasting for the first time and those fasting through war, loss, and displacement — especially in Gaza and Sudan. May you find strength, relief, and a peace that lasts beyond this month.
