Redoing my intro. Howdy! Southern US gal with multiple chronic illnesses and plenty of hobbies that range from nature photography, to drawing, to jewelry making and taxidermy! Activity is sporadic due to health but I try to post and engage with others whenever I can. Commission and shop info below.
A colorful scene of my blue and purple synthwave-inspired kirin, named Kamiki, with glowing pink stripes galloping down a neon highway. She is backlit by a sun that is setting/rising over some mountains. The mountains and sun are defined by a series of straight lines mimicking the synthwave/retrowave aesthetic. Meteors streak across the galaxy sky. Fun fact: the original file size is absolutely massive, even after condensing some layers. I also lost my sanity drawing the mountains despite the pen tool saving me time. A black American Crow named Pine is stretching out in a pine tree. One leg is gripping the branch they sit on while the other is held down below them, and one wing is also stretching downwards. I befriended a resident family of wild crows. I spend a lot of time with them and have had a relationship with them for over 2 years now. A few, like Pine here, have come to trust me a lot. "Chroma Splash". A complete, genuine coyote skull painted metallic blue with white patterns bordered by thin black lines. The teeth are painted silver and a clear gem is placed atop the skull. A natural-looking necklace and bracelet set made from blue-green agate, wood beads, and creamy glass pearls. The necklace features a white feather pendant carved from bone. Beads on the necklace are strung on flexible wire, linked with stainless steel chain, and end with a lobster clasp closure. The bracelet's beads are on stretch cord.

*Sigh* It's bad enough that I already often don't feel like working on stuff. But then I have to frequently deal with war breaking out in the household, ensuring my nerves are shot and killing any interest or focus I may have had. Sorry to rant. I just see no end to this mess and wish I could escape

Black-and-white Warbler (Mniotilta varia) creeping around the tree trunk. I'm finding out that my big new lens does not perform well in poor lighting. Something about the f-stop and longer focal length needing higher apertures, I think. I don't shoot in low light often anyway but was hoping to more.

A baby Alligator Snapping Turtle (Macrochelys temminckii) in the middle of the road at the marsh. It kept crawling right to me and I thought I was special! Turns out, it was just determined to reach the water and didn't care if it had to go through me to get there, ha ha. #herps #wildlifephotography

Here's a species I occasionally see (and frequently hear) at the marsh but hadn't had the fortune of photographing until this past June, the Black-bellied Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna autumnalis)! Unmistakable for a number of features, but their bright bills perhaps most of all. #birds #wildlife

Lookie what I found! Not a snake but a really cool legless - AKA glass - lizard! Haven't seen one of these since I was a kid, and never any so big. This one was chonky and a respectable 16" long, 'though I understand they get even bigger.
