Spelling Bee almost broke me today, but finally got it

Very happy that NYT finally has a family sub option to Games. Great way to have a little daily competition with my wife and kids and to flex our brain muscles.

My Ecoflow battery arrived yesterday. Charged it overnight and now I'm testing it out on our sump pump. We had heavy rain overnight so the pump is running several times an hour. Should be a good test and give me an idea of how long it could last during an outage.

Rough day for our ol' minivan. In the morning a chunk of ice gutted a fender liner. In the afternoon, a car in front of us kicked up a piece of metal. Just thankful we're unscathed and the van still drives.

Power is back and driveway has been cleared. Now I'm shopping battery backups. Seems like the way the climate is going these heavy wet snow storms may be the new norm. Would be nice to have heat.

Youtube Music year in review came out today. I'd forgotten about this one! The weather today feels right for a revisit.

Starting my Friday with fresh snow and no power. School is closed for my two youngest. Just chilling in the silence and debating contemplating mid-morning nap.

Threads was a great haven after I'd left Twitter two years ago, but it became such a weird kludge of engagement bait and random topics. It just got tiresome. I had my doubts on trying Bluesky, but so far I'm very impressed. The starter packs are a brilliant idea.
