Landed back in rainy Belfast airport. Have to wait 2 hours for a bus to Derry. Then get a lift from Derry to Donegal. Flying to Liverpool was the easy bit. #TravelAdventures

It can be disempowering to be a mental health advocate. It can be a lonely place to share your personal experience of mental health. But conferences like #BIGSPD25

Really enjoying my time at the BIGSPD annual conference. I enjoyed a fascinating talk by @dr-kjgardner.bsky.social this morning on the significance of location of self harm on the body. Really interesting insight in the research from clinicians and those with lived experience. #bigspd25

Looking forward to learning new ways I can use my lived experience when I return home to Ireland. Feeling inspired already and it's only day one of the conference! #bigspd25

I am so proud of my niece and her Donegal team, who won their all Ireland shield final in Kilkenny on Sunday, beating Limerick 2-0. She even got joint player of the match. #Speirgorm

This week, I've been in beautiful Dubrovnik for a much needed break. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you're in for a treat.

Last week, I spoke at the Sharing the Vision mental health conference in Dublin Castle. It was a privilege to be part of the panel discussion on lived experience. #MentalHealth

Just back from indoor football -15 women all aged 30+ kicking around a football on a Thursday night. Best way to blow off steam! Highly recommend it.

My heart is sore for the families who lost two young men in a car crash in West Donegal last night. I pray that those who are injured make a full recovery.

Today, I organised a wellbeing day for the U12s I coach at Dunfanaghy Youths. We had some icebreaker games, yoga, talks from the FAI on nutrition, recovery, and staying in sport and finished up the day with a few matches and a penalty shootout. Good for body, good for mind.

The last two pups of the litter. The brown goes to a good home on Saturday. We're keeping the other one. Any name suggestions?

Met my old psychiatrist at a conference today. It's been 7 years since I was his patient, but he remembered me. Last time I saw him I was very unwell. Today I was representing the voice of lived experience at the conference. Things can get better.

Been reading a bit about the Celtic calender and the Celtic wheel. Does anyone have any recommendations of reading materials? #SpeirGorm
