He’s 100% right! And it’s only gonna get worse until the midterm elections come around. In the meanwhile, we have to do everything possible to organize to take back both the House and the Senate so as to counter some of the travesties being perpetrated by that miserable bully, Dumpty.

I’m not a Bernie Bro, but he’s 100% spot on in these comments. Tens of millions are going to suffer because of the inexplicable failure of Senate leadership to continue with the shutdown - to rally support to standing up to the GOP and the billionaire class.

The MAGA morons are shooting themselves in the foot by seeking to deport hundreds of thousands of construction workers who toil every day
Once again, Republicans act without thinking about the consequences, doing shit all research to see if their idea makes sense, and don’t give a damn who they hurt. Even themselves.

Greed & a mind blowing lack of common sense, every time.
America’s construction industry is unraveling as immigration raids empty job sites, workers disappear overnight, and billions in projects remain unfinished while the nation’s builders vanish from sight.

Albert Einstein once said that if just 3% of the populace refused to have anything to do with war, there would never be another.
one category of show prep material for TRMS staff is something we've always called "subway reading".

it's something that's not exactly current events or new reporting... but nevertheless relevant food for thought given the news we're in.

On Tuesday, Armand Vaillancourt [age 96] got a letter from the city attorney’s office that gave him 90 days to remove the fountain.

“I don’t say I’m going to die from this,” he said, “but I’m very close to it.”

Tariffs are TAXES on the working class that can’t be afforded. Trump is damaging the economy every day his tariffs aren’t overturned by the SCOTUS. it’s reserved for Congress to set them, not the President.

The Supreme Court vs. The Tariff King
Trump’s trade war isn’t a patriotic crusade; it’s a pocket-picking, economy-wrecking tax scheme that punishes American families while pretending to protect them. And the Supreme Court knows it.

This is going on in my city come in. It makes me absolutely crazy to see it. On Friday, Halloween, agents from I.C.E. and C.B.P. conducted a raid on the Chute junior high school, my grandson, Jacob, attends. One undocumented Hispanic child Was zip tied and taken away. All I can do is shake my head.
CBP and ICE agents continue using aggressive tactics against both witnesses and people being detained. When these actions extend to schools, daycare centers, and now even Halloween parades, it’s clear that children are not spared from their use of force.

It’s unthinkable that SNAP benefits might be denied to millions of children, not to speak of their parents and the disabled.
More than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable, affordable access to nutritious food. And as the cost of living skyrockets, more families are depending on SNAP benefits, or food stamps, to put food on the table.
