After years of researching and writing about La Rochelle, and Saint-Martin-de-Ré, it was an absolute trip to randomly look out of the window of a plane and spot them clear as day. My children and the rest of the plane didn't seem to share my enthusiasm.

I don't normally get a lot of time to just binge on series, but being flattened this last week gave me an opportunity to start (and finish) Blue Eye Samurai. I was utterly spellbound. If you haven't seen it already, and can handle some of the graphic depictions of violence, I'd highly recommend it!

Well my planned health and focus start to 2025 has started with mixed results. 7 days of horrendous flu has so far rendered almost nonexistent social media screen time and the loss of 3 of my targeted 10 kgs. But 7 days and counting of horrendous flu sucks hard
