Chiostro del Bramante in Rome was built in 1500. Since 1997, it is a cultural center. The photos show the #art installations "Passi" by Alfredo Pirri, "Poured Staircase" by British artist Ian Davenport and "A Pleasure Palace" by the collective "Fallen Fruit". #photography #rome

The Colonnade of Perspective at Palazzo Spada was designed by Francesco Borromini in 1653. Located in the courtyard, it creates the impression of a long gallery, despite being only 8.82 meters in actual length. Borromini achieved this effect through the use of diminishing columns and a sloping floor

Located near the Trevi Fountain, Galleria Sciarra was commissioned in the 1880s as part of a larger building complex. The structure was designed by Giuseppe De Angelis, with its decorative scheme executed by Giulio Aristide Sartorio. #architecture

Galleria Colonna in #Rome was commissioned by Cardinal Girolamo I Colonna in the mid-17th century in order to celebrate the family’s military victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Its Great Hall measures 76 meters by 10 meters, making it slightly longer than the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles.

The #Pantheon in #Rome was constructed under Emperor Hadrian and was completed around 126 CE. The circular building is fronted by a rectangular portico. Its dome spans 150 Roman feet (43.3 meters) in diameter, making it the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world.

The British #Museum in #London was established in 1753 and is housed inside the Neo-classical building constructed to plans by Robert Smirke between 1823 and 1857. The Great Court was designed by Norman Foster and opened in 2000. #architecture

Commissioned by the British consul Daniel-Fitzgerald Barton, Victoria Hall in #Geneva was built between 1891 and 1893 to plans by Swiss architect John Camoletti. It was inaugurated in 1894. The concert hall is decorated in red and neo-Baroque stucco work with gold leaf gilding.

The former Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in #Barcelona was built to plans by Lluís Domènech I Montaner between 1901 and 1930. Composed of many independent pavilions, it is the world's largest complex built in #ArtNouveau style.

The Capitol Theatre #Singapore is located inside an iconic building in the heart of Singapore's Civic District, built in 1930 to plans by British architects Keys and Dowdeswell. It is a wonderful example of Art Deco design with geometric shapes and bold use of colour and ornamentation. #architecture

The concert hall Palau de la Música Catalana in #Barcelona was designed by Spanish architect Lluís Domènech I Montaner. Construction of the building in the Catalan modernist style started in 1905 and the Palau de la Música was inaugurated on February 9, 1908. #architecturephotography

The #Lausanne Opera originated as the Casino-Théâtre, built in 1869 by architect Jules-Louis Verrey and inaugurated in 1871 with The Barber of Seville. Renovated in 1931 by Charles Thévenaz, it became the Théâtre Municipal. Renamed Opéra de Lausanne in 1995, its mirrored façade was added in 2012.

Carnal Hall, located on the prestigious Le Rosey campus in Rolle, Switzerland, was designed by Bernard Tschumi architects and completed in 2014. Its arching dome with a diameter of 80 meters is covered by approximately 5,000 stainless steel panels. #architecturephotography
