@ihnatko.bsky.social just caught an episode of MythBusters featuring a comment from an “ihnatko” about punching out of a paper bag and thought “could it be the famous Andy himself?”

Watching LLMs try to reason with and lint Stimulus controllers is funny. Lots of “sorry let’s try another way” before it ultimately fails.

I love Docker
I hate Docker

Thank goodness for @marcoroth.dev’s Herb linter finding SO many broken bits of html. Just goes to show how much work the browser does to fix your janky code

Built a neat little solution for company signatures today. Until now we just had a bunch of html files I made by hand. If we change the format, every file changes. Gross.
New system uses a json file with an html template and moustache placeholders and an array of data to fill in

Problem solving with ChatGPT is great. Found some rails/redis expires_at/expires_in misconfig that explains why redis keys never cleared (think we swapped redis gems at some point)
Unrelated, considering adding some redis cleaning web admin tools.

I’m way behind on listening to Do By Friday and it took me a long time to realise that I kept getting 5 min previews of the after show from their Patreon feed. And it took me even longer (over a month) to realise my sub ended cos my card got spoofed and the payment details changed. In April.

“We ruined the country for 14 solid years and now look at it”
Not even an original idea in their heads.

> superversive (adj.) — Said of a person: one who seeks to uplift, ennoble, and inspire others, affirming meaning, beauty, and virtue rather than undermining them.

Let that be you.

Virtue signalling works both ways. Depends on your perspectives.

If tech is turning on “wokeism” what is it returning to? What are the ideals that aligns to?
Hopefully acceptance, acknowledgement, understanding, reasoning, discussion.
If it’s just coded talk for being sexist and racism and offensive, I’m not sure I’m interested in that community.

Reached the point where I need to make a way to send a copy of every email in our systems for testing. I’m up to 41 in the list so far. And that’s skipping a bunch too.

Got a weird case with Prosopite suggesting I add an includes to a query, and when I do and run it, the query doesn't make 1bn db calls, but prosopite tells me to remove the query and when I do, it makes 1bn db calls.

Are there any good oauth solutions for custom providers for @nuxt.com ? Found one that seemingly has no use and doesn’t seem like it does oauth properly. And another that only supports a given list of providers, not custom. Probably need to GPT my own.

Dear @bsky.app and other app makers, make sure your login works nicely with password managers and iOS’s 2FA code auto discovery plz

Lost most of the day to an unexplained bug with some azure functions. Ones that used to take 10-16s now timing out after 10 mins. No obvious reason. Had deployed updates 26hrs earlier. Something just stopped.

Doing a bit of cleanup on some old Vue components built a while ago with fetch, nice to strip out 40+ lines of code and drop in one useFetch to clean it all up. Sorting out bugs I’ve been meaning too for weeks

Nice to get some database maintenance stuff in place. Cut the size by~80% (not that I did any of this). All these cleanup tasks buried in documentation that cause db’s to swell in size.

Started my solo playthrough of Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. I forgot how annoying the water traversal is. Got to the boss room tho. Sounds like it’s just gonna be frustrating. #destiny2
