Well, our vacation in Cancun is coming to an end. It's been interesting & fun. We were here for my hubs godchild's wedding & our anniversary. His godchild told us we were seated with her aunt & uncle who happen to be from NC. Now, hubs & I made a pact not to talk politics as it was a celebration (1)

I just dropped my dog off at the dog sitter as I'm leaving for a week in Cancun. I felt like crying. It was like dropping my kid off for their first day at college. He's gonna be in good hands but he's my baby. The only time he's been away from us is when he went away for 2 wks at puppy bootcamp 😢

My heart goes out to the National Guard member who was shot & killed but let's get real - she would still be alive if Trump had not ordered the Guard to DC. Trump has her blood on his hands.

Watched the interview that Fetterman gave on CNN. Seems he doesn't us BlueSky people too much. Called us "far left nuts" who wished him dead after his stroke. I actually sent him an email wishing him well & hope he gets well soon. I may have to send another email telling him I don't appreciate that.

I'm not happy. For the first time in 15 years I'm going on vacation that requires air travel & now Trump is cutting back on airline travel because of the GOP shutdown. I'm so pissed. My trip isn't until Dec but what if Congress doesn't have a deal? Am I supposed to drive to Mexico from Philly?

I voted straight blue on the ballot today here in Pa. In one of the races there was only one candidate running but she was Republican. I left that blank. I refuse to vote for ANY republican. IDGAF if it's only a dog catcher. Today's dog catcher is tomorrow's US Senator or President. Looking to 2026.

If you donate to food banks, please remember to donate pet food. Too many pets will end up in shelters because parents will feed their kids before the pets even if this is a temporary situation with SNAP. Yes, even people on SNAP have pets. They provide the emotional comfort we all need.

Reach out to those who are going to rely on food banks. Offer them a ride to the food banks because they are going to need any extra cash they have for gas or things food banks don't provide.
