Crippled and barely working as they may be, my New Class VII endgame builds from CS3 do hold up in early CS4. There is a level of functionality to them, even without the right MQ and Quartz in general.

Despite my mixed feelings for the second half and Rean eliminating any semblance of a fair fight (The final bosses almost never got a turn in and the epilogue dungeon felt like a slog) this game was more than well worth it for the story, especially its final reveals and twists. Piece of art.

Just saw somebody write that Expedition 33 is such a unique switch up on traditional rpgs because every team member plays differently and thus takes on its own role in combat. Being glazed for having a basic job system is crazy work.

The more I play Clair Obscur the more I realize how other games made singular aspects better and how much less content there is compared to what I usually expect. It‘s a great game but reading about people saying it‘s the best rpg ever makes me cringe. Soundtrack and visuals carry hard.
