The silence at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday was so profound. The only sounds were of the occasional bird, a young child crying and the electronic beeps of a phone notification (sigh, put it on silent). Thousands of people united in remembrance. Many paused again at eleven o’clock today.

Today is International Paramedics Day, so a huge thank you to my friends and colleagues whether civilian, military or volunteers. Whether managing motorsport medical care, bringing me patients when I’m trauma team leading or teaching on the ATACC course, y’all rock.
