Both are huge. CalSTRS has >1M members and had >$1B in TSLA (a little more than CalPERS, also >$1B) as of last quarterly report.

I found out that my retirement fund holds Tesla stock. I've spent my lunch hour winding through voicemail mazes trying to register a complaint and ask them to drop it.
The fact that your retirement fund manager doesn't want calls doesn't mean they shouldn't get calls.
