Congratulations to DMU grad and entrepreneur Simon Sansome for slaying in the Dragons' Den on BBC1 last night. He got backing from all five dragons for his Snowball app which has been called ‘Trip Advisor for the disabled community’. Peter Jones called it a "game-changer".

A new show from DMU graduate Peter Robinson, “the world’s greatest living football photographer” opens at DMU’s Leicester Gallery this week.

His new exhibition ‘Keep off the Grass’ showcases over 200 images across fifty years of his work.

DMU is one of five Festival Hubs and has curated its own programme of events - open to the public - to inspire people to explore cultural identities.

Congratulations to DMU's Dr Kim Sadique on receiving a Charles E. Scheidt Faculty Fellowship in Atrocity Prevention at I-GMAP at Binghamton in the USA. She joins 77 global academics who will undertake specialist studies in Atrocity Prevention and each develop a course for their own institutions.

DMU students Becky Wilson and Natalia Stachowiak have returned from a fact-finding mission of a lifetime in Japan.

The pair have been studying cultural attitudes towards geological heritage as part of Charnwood Forest's @unesco.org Global Geopark bid.
