SCOOP — ICE employees received an email yesterday telling them the agency's warrantless arrest policy had been rescinded. It's likely part of the Trump administration's efforts to further loosen enforcement restrictions to meet the new quota of 3,000 immigration arrests per day.

My report:
ICE agents get green light to make unjustified warrantless arrests
The agency announced an accountability policy has been rescinded.

My first experience of censorship with ChatGPT shows that criticism of Big Tech is not super allowed because it does not seem to be related to propaganda. However, it generated a picture slowly and painfully before refusing to go any further. #GAIexperiment

Watched the Secret of Kells this weekend and was LOSING it because it was so beautiful 🤩
I went to see Princess Mononoke in theaters last night. The theater was absolutely packed on a random Sunday night. The entire crowd applauded at the start and end of the movie of a movie that came out in 1997. Ai may steal Miyazaki style but it will never be a Miyazaki film. Ai art isn’t real art.

The great champion of independent, speak-truth-to-power journalism, and of the democracy that can only survive if the press is free, Robert W. McChesney, has died at age 72. He fought the media oligarchs and the politicians who served them — and often won.

Now, we must carry the fight forward.
Robert McChesney, the Great Champion of Journalism and Democracy, Has Died

Not an exaggeration to say this was pound-for-pound the most effective piece of US public diplomacy in China. Twitter was blocked, but U.S. embassy pollution tweets forced Beijing to start publishing its own pollution data, which fed public outrage. Result: millions breathing vastly less toxic air
U.S. Embassies Halt Air Quality Monitoring Abroad
Since 2008, embassies and other diplomatic posts had been publishing data about local air quality. In many countries, it was the only reliable source of such information.

People feel crazy for making lists of lists they have or need to make—this is not crazy at all, this is information organization, this is what cataloging is, and lists of lists is essentially what a database is. You’re just trying to organize your info!
