That guy you know from that other platform. A guy, a news junkie, a research guru, a smartass, a dry wit, a twisted soul, a curator of the obscure and the obscene.
I wanted to watch a YouTube video about a cult classic sci-fi movie from 1977 and it was Ai slop comprised of about 2 dozen clips and stills from the movie and a text-to-speech voiceover. In 4 days they have 70K views.. Ugh.

A former coworker finally came out of the closet. I told her I knew she was gay 15 years ago when we worked together, as did the rest of the department.

I'm pleased with what they did for "Gen V" this season. I was worried when they had to reconfigure the story after Chance Perdomo's tragic death, but they made his character relevant even though he wasn't there. The cameos from "The Boys" also hit the right notes without coming off as gratuitous.

For some people, there is no social function of TV viewing. They don't talk about shows they watch. They don't participate in any fandom surrounding shows they watch. They don't write or read about shows they watch. Watching TV is a passive event for them.

I don't understand these people.

Sounds like Republicans ought to get all the Republicans who form the Republican majorities in the Republican-led House and the Republican-led Senate together to pass the budget that Republicans wrote with the Republican White House and that Republicans now insist absolutely must be passed.

I was wondering if a coworker was flirting with me and she decided to shoot her shot and eliminate all doubt. The only downside is that she's technically young enough to be my daughter, if I had started early.

The time to call the person waiting for you is before you're late, not after. When you call after you're late, they already know you're late. Call as soon as you know you will be late. If it's a 30-minute drive and you have 10 minutes to get there, you will be late. Let them know.

There's a house that belonged to a doctor in my town. It's a huge, beautiful house that has been unoccupied for nearly 20 years, and has fallen into disrepair. He and his wife had 2 kids who live on the West Coast and didn't care to keep the property up. I wish they would tear it down.

Before the advent of mobile phones and the internet, making friends was primarily a function of proximity. We haven't had enough time to get used to the fact that proximity isn't essential anymore, and we can have genuine friendships with people we've never been in the same room with.

I keep seeing the stories about the Anker power bank recall, but I've triple-checked my model number and it's not on the list. Can I mute the recall stories now, please?

It looks like Sinclair and NexStar may soon face the same kind of backlash that ABC/Disney and Target have experienced in the U.S. A local boycott of their advertisers could have an even greater impact, since these companies aren’t as broadly diversified.
Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

I find it interesting that the first hour of the CK memorial service was all Christian-oriented. If you only watched the first part, you got something entirely different from what viewers of the second part received.

"(Your Favorite Show) Returns in a Bold New Series!"

No, your headline is clickbait. There's a new comic book based on the IP of the series. It's not the same thing. I don't want to read something derived from my favorite show. I want to see a new show to continue my favorite show.

There's a difference between saying we're all in this together and saying we're not going to include you in this. There's a difference between saying the truth is uncomfortable and saying I don't want to be made to feel uncomfortable by the truth.
