Feeling argumentative today😌
First comment reads: Love what you have to say but really bad argument. Endometriosis effects 10%-20% of women where as erectile dysfunction effects 18%-47% of men. Second comment in reply reads, “endometriosis is one of the most painful disease to exist and causes permanent organ damage and er3ctile dysfunction is a man that can't get his wiener up.” First comment: It's worth mentioning that your examples diverge in their prevalence. ED affects more than half of men over a certain age, whereas endometriosis affects between 5-10% of women over a certain age. Parity in your examples would make your argument more well rounded and subject to less scepticism. Hope this helps going forward! Reply: if you want to go that route, if you consider the severity and affect on QOL, endometriosis is one of the top 10 most painful diseases to exist and can affect every organ in the body causing permanent and irreversible damage. Erectile dysfunction affects a singular body part and is non painful, and non vital to physiological functioning. Futhermore, most cases of ED in men under 65 can be treated with medication, and if their limpness is unresponsive, it's likely psychosomatic. Whereas endometriosis requires invasive diagnostic procedures and harmful treatment that is not curative whatsoever. Hope this helps! First comment: Yet prostate cancer get's a fraction of the funds breastcancer gets. A contributing factor as to why women live several years longer than men is the medical advancements made. Especially almost anything related to mental health is geared more towards women than men. Reply: you should probably look up WHY that is. Prostate cancer is significantly more likely to be caught, occur in a much older age range, be slow growing/non aggressive, and have more effective and curative treatment and surgery options and outcomes. Also, research regarding mental health is historically only done on men which creates gender based standard in diagnostic criteria therefore leaving space for women to be misdiagnosed because mental health disorders present different in women. The DSM 5 is largely based only on male research.

Women were only legally required to be included in medical research and studies starting in 1993. Women were considered too complex to include in studies because of our "fluctuating hormone levels," and there once was a ban on women who were of child bearing potential from participating in trials.
