We hit a bump in the road.
But where it splashed and flowed
Reveals reflections
Of a time that was once at peace.
The ripples have subsided
The smooth gloss and silence
Offer a glimmer of hope.
All things are fleeting.

I am writing a novel using the contents of three film noir verse books I have written. The characters within the poems are the cast of characters in the novel. The story revolves around Detective Aldous Beech. The Crimson Files will hopefully be completed sometime next year.
