The early 2000s: the “rainbow era” of Deutsche Bahn, when consists displayed a range of liveries. Picture taken at #Trier 🇩🇪, of a regional service hauled by a Class 218 diesel in orient red with “Latz” on the front, followed by an (original) “Silberling” and others in traffic red and mint green.

Bis #Ljubljana fuhr der Simplon-Orient-Express auf der Südbahnstrecke. Danach zog es ihn über Zagreb weiter in den Orient 🌙

Ich folge der Südbahn Richtung Maribor und überwinde den Trennungsschmerz im slowenischen @diningcar.at

Bahnhofschild Villa Opicina - Grenzbahnhof auf dem italienischen Karst. Ab Trieste führt die Strecke zunächst am Meer entlang. Bei Aurisina folgt eine groß angelegte Kehrschleife um den großen Höhenunterschied von etwa 300 Metern zu bewältigen. "Tromostovje" (Die drei Brücken) in Ljubljana über die Ljubljanica. Entworfen hat die, wie alles andere in Ljubljana auch, der Architekt Jože Plečnik. Slowenischer Speisewagen von außen. Teil des EC 150 (Emona) Ljubljana-Wien. Wegen Bauarbeiten wird derzeit keine durchgehende Verbindung von Wien nach Trieste gefahren. Speisewagen von innen. Heute gab es mehliertes Schnitzel und Radler. Nächstes Mal dann "Champagne Gold" (88€).

Mittagessen im Speisewagen der ÖBB. Es gibt Bio-Reisfleisch und Salat mit Kürbiskerndressing. Das Besteck schimmert golden im Licht des Speisewagens. Super Mittagspause bevors wieder weitergeht im railoffice. Züge am Hauptbahnhof in Graz. Mit einem Railjet und einem Cityjet der ÖBB.

Gepflegt auf #Dienstreise und bei einem ordentlichen @diningcar.at @speisewagen.com #Frühstück in den #Mittwoch starten.
#bahnliebe ist, wenn man als #teamöffiliebe so im #railoffice #reisen kann 😁 😍🥰
Ein Omelette (ja diesmal mit anderer Füllung 😆), dazu Gemüse, eine Semmel und Kaffee. Entspannt im Speisewagen genießen während man auf Dienstreise ist und so den Tag startet. Ein Kaffee im Speisewagen geht natürlich immer. Ein Kaffeegang an Board sozusagen. Der berühmte Emona Speisewagen en route Richtung Slowenien. Leider das letzte Mal auf Grund der neuen Koralmbahn wo dieser Speisewagen nicht fahren darf auf Grund von Sicherheitsbestimmungen im Koralmtunnel (Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge müssen speziell ausgerüstet sein).

#Rosenheim 🇩🇪 last week: the #ÖBB #NightJet from #Brussels 🇧🇪 and #Paris 🇫🇷 to #Vienna 🇦🇹, hauled by a Class 193 Siemens #Vectron electric, makes a station stop here. In four weeks’ time this will be history: the Paris portion will no longer run, and the #SNCF stickers on the cars will become redundant.
