Interstellar #comet #3I/ATLAS in the early hours of November 20 as seen from Crete, as the weather was favorable. A faint ion tail and anti-tail can be seen as the comet is past perihelion. Nothing out of the ordinary but cool to see such a bright interstellar object. #cometWatch

A new comet, C/2025 T1 (ATLAS), was discovered earlier in October and it has brightened rapidly in just two weeks. Now it is around mag 11, has a round coma 4' and a short tail. It is near M101, in Ursa Major. Perihelion is in about a month, at 1.11 AU. #cometWatch

Against all odds, C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) has survived perihelion, which was at Mercury's orbit. The comet has emerged in the dawn sky and features a long ion tail, more than a degree long, with a distinct reddish color (contrary to the usual blue). #CometWatch

Comet Lemmon on 23 October, showing a very active and turbulent ion tail. Slightly different processing to not burn the nucleus. More info in alt. #cometWatch #astronomy #astrophotography #space

Comet Lemmon is hands down the third best comet of the last 10 years for the northern hemisphere. As easy with the naked eye as the Andromeda Galaxy, with a hint of tail 2-3 degrees long from dark skies! Unfortunately clouds were present at the direction of the comet. #cometWatch #astronomy

Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) passing near the Eagle Nebula on 17 October 2025, around 18:30 UTC. Nice pair visually through 8x50 binoculars. The comet is near its closest approach to Earth, at a distance of 39 million km. #cometWatch #astrophotography #space

Back to comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) today before dawn. What a development in 10 days. The tail barely fits in the lovely Samyang 135mm lens FOV. Sunflower and Croc's Eye galaxies are visible too. #cometWatch #astrophotography

A nice clear sky helped me photograph comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) on 1 October 2025. The ion tail is becoming brighter and full of streamers and the dust tail grows. #cometWatch #astrophotography

Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) finally cleared the twilight zone from southern Europe (and the clear atmosphere certainly helped despite the presence of some clouds). Coma is about 6' and the ion tail is visible too in this 10min exposure. #cometWatch

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) today. Coma is 8' across, smaller than a few days before, but dust tail is becoming more prominent. Also brightenening seems to have stalled, yet the nucleus and coma look good. I'll keep an eye on it. 🧐 #cometWatch #astronomy

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) looked gorgegous on the early hours of September 24, as the ion tail became again quite prominent. #cometWatch #astrophotography #comet #space

Periodic comet 240P/NEAT on 23 September 2025. Much brighter than initial predictions, it features a dust tail which up to its faintest extremities is 25 arcminutes long. Currently slowing down as it enters retrograde motion. #cometWatch #astrophotography #astronomy

Lovely image of two comets one next to the other from the southern hemisphere. Mars was also nearby. #cometWatch

Something different today. Comet 414P/STEREO is in the constellation of Leo, not far from Regulus and Venus, at an elogation of 29°. Perihelion is on 26/9. Small green coma, maybe a fain tail. #CometWatch

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) in the early hours of 16 September. Coma has grown to about 6-7 arcminutes, there is a faint ion tail about 20 arcminutes long and possibly a short ion tail has started growing. #cometWatch #astrophotography

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) on 6 September, before the Moon starts interfering fot the next two weeks. Mediocre to bad conditions due to high humidity. Nice green coma 4' and faint ion tail. Back again in about 10 days. #cometWatch #astrophotography

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) has started growing a faint ion tail as it brightens heading towards the Sun. #cometWatch #astrophotography

Comet C/2025 A6 on 25 August.
The inner coma is quite bright and there is also an outer coma about 6' across that can be visible with a relatively short exposure.

A more zoomed in view of comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon). Typical greem coma is about 3 arcminutes across, mag. around 12. Image obtained on 23 August 2025, 02:00 UTC, from eastern Crete (B3). #cometWatch #astrophotography

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is much brighter than current predictions (maybe around mag 13) and even visible in the individual 20s frames today before dawn. Hopefully it will be a nice binocular object in autumn. #cometwatch

Small comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) passing at the border of Hercules and Ophiuchus on 13-8-2025, 19:00 UTC. Coma about 0.5' and tail 5', doesn't appear to have grown larger the last half month despite the comet approaching both the Sun and Earth. #Cometwatch #astrophotography

Small comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) at mag ~14 is the brightest comet in the sky right now. Tail is about 5' long. Currently in the constellation of Vulpecula, it approaches rapidly Earth next month. #cometwatch #astrophotography #comet
