Various artworks of mine from 2025 from left to right: - A textless 3 panel comic about broken sleep + stress dreams and waking up feeling emotional - Traditional art made with acrylic paint markers of Miho from the visual novel "Please Be Happy" in an alternate casual art I made up on the spot - Personal piece of me holding my head with bright colors meant to capture feeling crazy about when you care too much about something - Tomori from MyGO!!!!! A piece I made after watching episode 10 where she's sitting while hugging her legs, happy crying, a mic in her hand and the last lyrics of the song Utakotoba written in Japanese - Eden and Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd where the top is Elysia cuddling Eden with both of them in pajamas 2025 reflection letter: This is a bit of an emotional thing for me to make, but I’m making this to reflect and maybe this will resonate with anyone as well who is a creative: 2025 was a wild ride for me. I let go of a business I helped build up for years, but also felt complete about and wanted to move on to other things. I was forced to revisit some old wounds, discover ones I didn’t realize I have, and let go of a lot in general. One of the biggest things I had to face, that I pushed towards the back of my mind for years now, is my relationship with my art. In my efforts to make a name as an artist in the industries and communities I care about, I almost fell out of love with art. These are the pieces I made for fun: It's not much, but 2025 was a journey of rediscovery to remember why I love art. It has, and always will be, an emotional experience for me. I create when things resonate with me, when a story touches my heart, when I feel inspired by other people’s stories and experiences. Or even just because I’m passionate about art itself. Shout out to one friend who got me to watch Rocketman, and then another group of friends who got me into MyGO and Ave Mujica. All different stories, but with the same heart that spoke to me of using a creative outlet to speak your heart out and made me think. As cheesy as that sounds, I know. At the later part of 2025 though I slowly regained my love of creating just for the sake of it and now I’m gonna continue chasing that. Thank you once again to my friends both current and new ones, and ones I even reconnected with. You helped make my year a little easier to handle, but also gave me both new homes and homes to return to. I’m closing out this emotional letter with: I’ve made a lot of big plans for 2026, so I look forward to seeing how I grow as an artist (and person, of course) from here! Both personally, and as I continue to work in those industries and communities I still have a lot of love for.
