I used to make 7–8 videos a month. During 2025, I was only able to make one per month, but even then it was great to see that most of them received extremely positive like-to-dislike ratios.

Thank you all for watching! I’m in the process of increasing the volume in 2026.

Time to test DAT with the Ray-Ban glasses. I stayed away due to team priorities and a heavy focus on VR, but with the MIT Reality Hack hackathon coming up, I want to be familiar with the tools. 𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰’𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝑴𝑰𝑻’𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.

It is going to take some time to adjust to all of these big changes at Meta, losing my colleagues & friends, moving to a new team, but extremely hopeful that I will be able to help with VR programs and education.

Today was a very hard day at Meta 😔. A lot of incredible and talented people I had the pleasure of working with, on my direct team and across the org, were let go, people I deeply respect and admire.

I was about to start using Cursor with Unity, but then I realized that @jetbrains.com Rider’s Unity integration is significantly better. On top of that, Rider 2025+ adds a Claude Agent that’s seamlessly integrated and included with the JetBrains AI subscription!

We released a new video on Spatial Anchors, which essentially allows you to pin virtual objects to real-world locations. This means that when you return to an app, everything stays in the same spot.

I believe that this week I tested 80+ games and apps for the Meta Horizon Start Developer Competition. Last night, I reviewed a few more, and I just have to say, we have incredible talent in XR today. The amount of innovation and creativity is absolutely inspiring.

I remember the simplicity of hand tracking SDK features when they were first released on the original Quest. Today, hand tracking has seen massive advancements with Interaction SDK (v83)

Judging 42 different games and apps for the online VR competition has been fun, still have about 30% of them to complete but so far very impressed with the level of innovation!

Yesterday I hit my first year at Meta, and it has been an amazing ride. I’ve met incredible developers from all over the world, spoken at so many conferences, and worked with incredibly talented people!

Editing a YouTube video while you are sitting in a ✈️ middle seat was a huge challenge 🤣 but I am 99% done! I will head to the hotel, take a nap, & more likely finish it up.
