was planning on doing something for #ToxicTerrorGamejam but didn’t really focus on it hard enough to make the deadline and don’t have much experience, here’s my concepts and stuff anyways. Kinda wanna make this a thing eventually 🧵(1/6)

Initial drawn concept for a mouse-controlled sit-and-survive game called Rooted Insomnia. Roughly depicts an ant in a miner getup constrained to the ground by tree roots and missing her right arm. She wears a suspicious helmet which is actually a parasite with a single large eye where the lens would be.
"Eye follows your mouse and shines light"
"Left clock to flash
"Hold middle click to hold her breath"
"Right click to toggle closing eye"

Rough drafts of threats made for Rooted Insomnia.
Eidolon, a slender, disembodied silhouette of an arm slowly approaches the player, it goes away when you shine a light on it for long enough.
"Reacher", a disheveled moth with sharp claws. It’s attracted to the light, and you’d have to close your eye to make it leave (this is an older mechanic idea)

my hot #Deltarune switch 2 trailer take is that as cool as it is the funny 3D tenna model still isn’t fully representative of his actual design and was probably made just for non-spoilery promotional material. i feel it’s abt as likely to be in the actual game as My Child You are Breaking my Heart
