so many ppl constantly misunderstand how "safe" or "vulnerable" they are, completely unaware of how many things there are in place that maintain their well being.
the concept of "risk" is just so warped at this point that it's become overwhelmingly difficult to trust ppl to make the right decision.

Gatekeeping is an extremely useful tool and I think blaming it for the current state of art isn't entirely accurate.
Rather it was the elitism and the shaming. The "oh wow you like this music?? You should like that music instead" or the "wow you don't look the part of [subculture] enough"

Let me not even get started with USA raves and the culture here. The concepts of them have been lost to the footnotes in many cases. It's just a fun night out or a means to promote yourself.
