Yesterday Olena Kosmenko and @bartcosijn.bsky.social gave an introductory course in Philosophy for Children (P4C) for the Perlyna center for children from Ukraine in Riga. Very impressive work they do, providing education to the refugee community in the Latvia, weekdays, evenings, weekends.

Traveling to Riga to give a workshop about Dialogue in the Classroom for a group of Ukrainian teachers at the Perlyna school, together with professor of pedagogy Olena Kozmenko.

On Friday and Saturday we participated in a very exciting Agora: the first meeting of an emerging Philosophy for Children (P4C) community of Central and Eastern European countries. Practitioners, teachers and academics from Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Hungary and Estonia came together.

On Friday and Saturday we participated in a very exciting Agora: the first meeting of an emerging Philosophy for Children (P4C) community of Central and Eastern European countries. Practitioners, teachers and academics from Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Hungary and Estonia came together.
Coming week we will visit the Perlyna school for children from Ukraine in Riga to give a workshop to their teachers on Dialogue in the Classroom. We’ll also discuss a joint pan Baltic project to support Ukrainian youth developing conversation and critical thinking skills. www.perlyna.org

Yesterday we started with a new course at Tallinna Pelgulinna Riigigümnaasium, which teaches #dialogue and #criticalthinking skills by doing philosophy. We use a method called Philosophy for Children and Youth (#P4C). The students' ideas, observations and questions play a central role.
