CNN received Trump's wrath today. Note that he filed a $475 million defamation suit against CNN in 2022. Trump lost. In fact, the Florida judge dismissed the suit in 2023.

In all my years, I have never before seen such shameful behavior displayed by our Prez and his Secretary of Defense as reported today. F-Bombs? Ranting over push backs from the Press for clarifications? So I ask: how are they going to handle a real crisis? Or diplomatic missions? I'm aghast.

About to see a 1984 moment. Trump promised in his campaign "no war with Iran". But bombs Iran without the approval of Congress. Then claimed Iran's nuke ability obliterated, with no evidence. Defying intel so far collected.
He took a big risk. Likely failed. A weakened Prez. Watch what's next

Musk and Peter Thiel founded PayPal. Peter Thiel now owns Palantir, a company contracted by ICE to help identify & apprehend "illegal" immigrants. Thiel has been a strong backer and donor to Trump. Steve Miller, Trump's anti-immigration hardliner, holds a huge financial stake in Palantir. Facts

Regarding Iran's highly enriched uranium. Yes, it's 60% enriched. As I understand it, use of uranium at this level is not required for peaceful purposes. But 90% is required for a bomb. So, how long might it take for Iran to bring their uranium up to 90%. Bet they're working on it now!!

From experience, any person intending marriage should ask your partner the following. Does s/he

o Dislike children
o Dislike pets
o Have no job and no plans for one
o Have huge debts and no worry
o Think savings a future worry
o Believe in living ABOVE one's means

These should raise red flags

You know, just one day, I would like to see a hand-written letter from one of my friends and family. Not a Zoon session. Not even an email. And then there is that pile of junk mail telling me (at my age) "Urgent", "Time is Running Out", "Act Now". I feel someone always trying to grab my mind.

Fact: "Heat is the leading weather-related cause of death. That means more people die from extreme heat in the US than from hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, or cold weather." With no AC, masses could die in hot, humid areas where the heat index could climb above 60 Centigrade (120 Fahrenheit). India?
June 24, 2025 at 12:16 PM
Look it up. "Extreme heat is the deadliest weather-related hazard in the United States. According to the National Weather Service and multiple studies, heat consistently causes more deaths annually than hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, or lightning"

Think about that this summer re global heat rise

From Bernie Sanders

"Tomorrow, I will be in Texas for the first of three events. We will also be doing events over the weekend in Louisiana and Oklahoma ...Why are we doing rallies in three very red states? The answer is obvious. We’ve got to mobilize working people in EVERY state in the country."

“It’s not politically correct to use the term, 'Regime Change,' but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on June 22.

A bluff. WE can't afford to do it due to our national debt.

The Heritage Foundation is the source of Project2025. AI also provided me a list of this "think tank"major donors: The Coors family (of Coors Beer), Charles Koch, the Mellon/Scaefe family (banking, oil, and aluminum), the Uilen family, and in the past the Walton family (WalMart) plus ExxonMobile.
June 23, 2025 at 1:18 PM
I just asked AI for a list of Trump staff who have contributed to the document "Project2025", the Mein Kampf of Trump's policies. Got a list of 7. Of special note is Russell Voigt, key architect of the document, he the advocate for centralizing power into the executive branch.

A chilling statement by Sec. Rubio today re Iran: "The U.S. finally has a President who does what he says." But the Prez bombed Iran without approval of Congress. So this is peace-making a la Trump? And if Trump says we should take over Greenland, should I see that as an immanent threat? Chilling

"President Donald Trump and his team were in contact with top congressional Republicans before his strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, but top Democrats were not told of his plans until after the bombs had dropped ..." (CNN reports)

Thereby ignoring the will of a major portion of US voters.
June 22, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Ironic. Instead of having become the great divider, pitting Americans against Americans, Trump seems actually to have become the great UNIFIER. More and more here clearly see his incompetence and betrayal. But globally as well. Like the EU finally taking point helping Ukraine.
June 22, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Awoke to the CNN news: Trump bombed Iran.

"If Trump’s gamble fails to destroy Iran’s nuclear program — despite his claim to have “obliterated” it with US air strikes — an often-lawless president could have set the United States and the world on a disastrous course. . ." Mr Nobel Peace Prize.
June 22, 2025 at 10:09 AM
Just seen on CNN: (Not a joke) Pakistan allegedly has formally nominated Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his "stellar statesmanship" shown by his effort to resolve a conflict between Pakistan and India. Now I know how Alice felt in Wonderland. Bets on whether Trump will now bomb Iran.

One thing that truly troubles me from current news: claims of anti-semitism when what actually is meant is anti-zionism. e.g. That I may disagree with Natanyahu's policies does not mean I hate Jewish people nor even Israeli citizens. By the way, Arabic peoples are also Semites. Look it up.

Back in the Sixties, I volunteered to do non-violent crowd control (Quaker trained) at a DC-based monster march against the war. (250,000 marchers). Great success. Except at the end, a handful of provocateurs caused trouble. Chaos, pepper gas. The march blamed. Sound familiar?
June 20, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Consider what power enough women working together might have to protect our democracy. The USA, a CONSUMER-based society. Non-violent action? Women often hold the purse-strings. Enough women acting together, your dollars could make a political difference. Reduce debt? You become free.

It may look like Trump is successfully moving forward. IMO now mainly because of LA's violent protest against ICE. They handed Trump just what we wanted to win in the courts. But even if Trump has the guns, non-violence is the answer. Take a page out of Gandhi's playbook.

FYI look it up re Juneteenth as a "non-working holiday": "private businesses are not required to close, so whether Juneteenth" is a non-working day for you depends on your employer and your state’s observance policies."
June 20, 2025 at 10:31 AM
CNN: President Donald Trump took to social media Thursday on Juneteenth, a federal holiday, to criticize the number of “non-working holidays” in the United States. .“Too many non-working holidays in America."

Perfect dog whistle from Trump. Posted by him on Juneteenth. See you July 17th, Prez
June 20, 2025 at 9:04 AM
Juneteenth, a day to celebrate! For without it, would we ever have had Ray Charles, Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King, Jackie Robinson, Barack Obama and on and on and on? For without that freedom, IMO we would not have the American culture we enjoy today.
