Hi new followers! I am Danny, a mycologist interested in diversity, ecology, host-parasite interactions, and conservation, #newPI of Laboratory of Fungal Ecology and Evolution at the Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and head of #TeamLaboul. Also dad to my 7yo daughter Luna. 🍄🐞🦇
Always been in love with this picture I took of a violet webcap, Cortinarius violaceus. Deep purple, but with reddish-brown spores—you can see this beautifully! One of the few fungi described by Linnaeus in 'Species Plantarum' (1753, as Agaricus).

Always been in love with this picture I took of a violet webcap, Cortinarius violaceus. Deep purple, but with reddish-brown spores—you can see this beautifully! One of the few fungi described by Linnaeus in 'Species Plantarum' (1753, as Agaricus).
