The second part of our five-part series on redistricting efforts across the Deep South launched today after it was apparent that SCOTUS was not releasing a decision in the Louisiana v. Callais case.

It'll be interesting to see if our luck holds through January.

The redistricting war is underway in the Deep South. Here’s the first of five parts on how the push for conservative lawmakers to find a few more seats in Congress is going across the region. www.splcenter.org/resources/st...

When oil and tech CEOs are in the loop about his plans to invade a sovereign nation and Congress isn’t, that’s all you need to know about the legitimacy of his actions.

“They’re leakers. They would have leaked.”

The Constitution says nothing about “leaks.” It says the executive needs Congressional approval for an act of war.

I would argue that taking out a nation’s leader, imprisoning them and claiming control of that nation’s resources is a textbook act of war.

Listening to this ramble and thinking that if our Congress thinks this is leadership then we are truly doomed.

Impeach this drooling embarrassment. Do something to show that American ideals still exist.

“We are going to run the country.”

What the hell? This is not how any of this works. We just knocked off the (admittedly horrible) leadership of another country to take over its oil fields?

Just checking… did I somehow miss Congress reconvening to authorize going to war with a South American country? I’m sure I would have noticed that…

The reason this parody suckered so many people is because it is very likely that the mango jesus has actually asked why he can't do it.

Here's a link debunking it, because yes, I had to find out if it were true (although the Quinn Jackson byline was suspect).

How gullible are MAGA followers?

They believed their mango god when he said he "obliterated" Iran's nuke program. They decried and retaliated against the intel analysts who said the strikes on June 22 only set the program back six months.

Now, six months later:
Iran warns of ‘severe’ response in wake of Trump’s new strikes threat
US president says he would back attacks if Tehran rebuilds nuclear or missile programmes.

This is just flat-out stupid. Battleships have been largely useless for more than a century.

But hey, you can't go back to the Gilded Age with out the set props, amiright?
U.S. to build "Trump-class" warships for "Golden Fleet"
"They'll be the fastest, the biggest, and by far 100 times more powerful than any battleship ever built," Trump said.

Wait... does this mean Louisiana gets a mulligan on the governorship? I'm sure they'll do better this time.
Jeff Landry is a moron with zero foreign policy experience, knowledge, or qualifications. ZERO. Nothing. More insanity.

So has the MAGA Congress just handed the purse to their mango god? Explain this to me like I’m not a royally pissed off 5-year old.

I can’t watch this. I can barely listen to it.

How delusional is this crap?

If this doesn’t scare the damned Republicans into taking action, then nothing will.

Just in case you were wondering, there is absolutely no question that we are officially a rogue nation now.

We have traded the tools of diplomacy for extortion.

If Congress does not get off its collective ASS and do something, we're pretty much doomed.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

YGTBFKM... As any reporter — or any experienced political operator — knows, the only time it's NOT on the record is if it is, EXPLICITLY, not on the record.

If these comments were off the record, Wiles would be screaming that from the White House roof. To the best of my knowledge, she isn't.
“Hi I am calling my boss the most powerful man in the world basically like a drunk but less charming, and I am telling it to Vanity Fair. I assume this is private.”

CNN suggests Susie Wiles might not have known she was on the record 😆

Sapelo Islanders fought a move to allow bigger homes on the island that would push up property taxes and displace the Gullah-Geechee descendants who live there.

Now the county is just outright jacking up assessments to get its way. My latest for SPLCenter.org:
Tax targeting Gullah-Geechee landowners on Sapelo Island could force land loss
The effort to reassess the Hogg Hummock property is the latest move that could force Gullah-Geechee descendants from Georgia island.

Two questions:

1. Do you REALLY want our capital to look like a bankrupt Jersey casino?

2. Is there anyone in the other two branches of government who will stand up to this idiot?
In latest real estate move, Trump appears to be readying demolition of 4 historic D.C. buildings
