A good friend of the community is making a modern interpretation of the #Quantel Paintbox UI and painting modes that were used on the Classic DPB and later V-Series machines from Quantel. Please take a look!

Repair time! My vintage Pioneer VSA-E07 amp from 1999 stopped working again. I replaced the main power amp caps a few years ago. But this time it wont come out of Stand-by.

The thing i take from this is all this cutting edge tech working... because it is literally NEW. How many Quantel Paintbox HD machines, or Sony HDD-1000 VTR machines are still working in 2025???

The thing i take from this is all this cutting edge tech working... because it is literally NEW. How many Quantel Paintbox HD machines, or Sony HDD-1000 VTR machines are still working in 2025???

I think it is important to know WI and Girl Guides have not voluntarily moved into excluding trans girls and women they have been pushed into by bigot zealots and the law being an ass

that's just a few years out of my era but... yea 😍
I am trawling through 1000s of #Quantel documentation files and found this about Paintbox Options. 'Options' was a way to buy a cut-down V-Series Paintbox but you could add on functions as you needed them saving you buying the full version. It shows a base Paintbox at £23,500, dated August 1994.
