this is great because it answered my question about fully porting my ideal Twitter. no east la Chicano Twitter. no vogueing.

The Salk Institute shared the sad news that Prof. Joanne Chory passed away yesterday due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. She was one of the most influential biologists of our time.
And this is how I will remember Joanne, expertly guiding us on where to go. Joanne, we will miss you! ❤️

I thought she was giving me the chance to pursue a question of my own devising. Afresh in a new field without no guide. What she really gave me was the chance to resiscover the joy of science. Of self reliance. I'm forever grateful. RIP.
