Just spent NZ$440 on some on sprue models from 1990. Sounds like a lot. But then I look at Legions Imperialis battle forces costing that much for fewer models and I'm like no, no, this is perfectly fine as a price point, and I much prefer little biker dwarves.

My post-Christmas end of year army is done in very speedy fashion. I enjoyed trusting the process and pushing simple contrast on these very small Epic miniatures for use in 2e Epic/NetEpic as Hive Fleet Behemoth. Now I need to paint some blue lads to fight #epic40k #oldhammer #miniaturewargaming

Still haven't decided on my summer project. It won't be a vintage army, since I'm finishing up my Space Wolves first (hopefully before Christmas?). So that leaves middlehammer Grey Knights, Flames of War Finns, Tomb Kings, or Warriors of Chaos. Oh, I guess Battletech too? Decision paralysis.

My realisation from Golden Demon is similar to my take on virtuoso guitarists - exceptionally performed, amazing craftwork, eye-watering skill, true dedication, and maybe only 1 piece in 10 that I will ever remember fondly.

Finally finished up the first portion of the Space Wolves, 1000pts fully playable for 2e 40k. I also painted up and based some terrain by @doctorspork.bsky.social which came out wonderfully vintage. Still working on my photography though #spacewolves #warhammer40k #oldhammer #miniaturewargaming

People equivocating generative AI with all "AI tools" is a fucking problem that people aren't considering enough. Many things that were never called AI are now under that moniker, and by not knowing the difference means that things that are fine are being used to defend shit that is not.
